Do you think homosexuals "deserve" to have their entire life destroyed just because they are gay?

Whoever it was running for office, doesn't think they should be allowed to be parents, to work as teachers, and they shouldn't be allowed in the military, and alot of places fire someone if they're homosexual. So based on someone's sexual orientation, do you think it's right to deprive them of oppertunities? Even though the guy in the cubical next to you is sleeping around on his wife, it's okay for the company to fire the guy in the cubical across the aisle just because he's gay?

the only things i agree with are that they shouldnt be parents, and they shouldnt be in the military. i know its not there fault that they are gay, but you make a baby with a man and a women and a baby needs a mom and a dad, but i think a baby would be better off with a gay couple then in a foster home or with someone who is abusive, etc. so thats something to think about. In the military, it is supposed to be strictly work and proffessional & i think it would be too tempting for them, besides that, they should have a normal life & be happy.

  • Of course not... No more than someone "deserves" to have those things done because of race, gender or religion... Equal rights are HUMAN rights, they shouldn't be limited to Majority or Popular groups.

Oh you mean the same way it's tempting for girls to sneak into a guys barricks and fuck even though they're not supposed to? It happens all the time. Temptation is everywhere and may I remind you that they're just gay, they're not nymphomaniacs. I'm pretty sure most gay people can control their sexual urges.

  • Who are any of us to judge another for their life choices? One's sexual preference does not determine if they can be good parents. There are many couples that are opposite sex that should not raise children. . This is suppose to be a free country but too often it doesn't seem that way when it comes to certain issues.

WTF are you smoking? When our single male military friends get together and the beer starts flowing, all we hear about is how much they got while they were over there, and they're all straight. Whenever one of them comes home now it's almost a tradition - the "PG" rated debriefing of how it went while they were there since it's a mix of military and non-military people in the group, spiced up with the "X" rated debriefing of how they spent their time off. Statistically, the gays in the military have to be getting less than the straights, because it's not as much of a target rich environment.

Not if they go to Iraq. Men are for pleasure over there. Women are just for babies. So I don't think a gay man would have trouble "getting some" if he went to Iraq. And I agree, alot of guys in the military are just whores. lol

  • I think it's abundantly clear that noone feels it would be okay for a person to be fired for being homosexual.

The rest of the issues are less clear-cut, because of concerns about harm to people besides the homosexual person alone.

Not saying that all the concerns have enough merit to warrant restricting a gay person's wishes in this or that area. Just saying that getting fired from a job is a completely different situation from all the other situations you enumerated in your Question.
