When should I worry about not getting a period.....

I started exercising about a month and a half ago, regular 4x a week exercise. I know that changes my cycle and such. Well last week my hubby and I had sex without a condom, since it was my time I should be getting my period. I need to go pick up a pregnancy test, but not sure when I should be considering I may be pregnant.

  • I would test at a week or two late; my ob told me at my last yearly that since my cycles were irregular to begin with, then I had a child and breastfed, to not get really worried unless I went three months after weaning with no period and negative pregnancy tests.

  • Exercise does not typically change your cycle unless it is a very intense exercise regimen, such as one a professional athlete would do to train for a specific event. So, unless you are exercising for about 6 to 8 hours as day, I would go get a test.

  • You can test as early as 5 days before you're supposed to get your period.
