Why would I need a doula with a c/s?!

  • they are there to help you with anything that you may need so your husband can be right with you. Also to think about a plan and anything you may not have thought about before your c/s. Some ppl like the extra support.

  • Well, I can certainly say that having a Doula during a c-section is not a bad idea. Once baby is born, usually they take baby to the nursery and dad goes with. That means you are left there all alone while they stitch you back up. That can be a great time to have someone there just for you.

    What if your spouse cannot make it? A doula will be there with you and can take pictures of baby once born.

    If you feel you do not need a Doula then by all means, just say No Thanks.
