how do u know that u are no longer in love with your mate?

  • I just thought about it one day and realized I'm not in love with him anymore. I'm working on that. However, I do still love him.

  • I knew in my first marriage when (after being with him for 15 years at that point) I finally opened my eyes and accepted the fact that he was never really in love with me (all the signs were there from the very beginning, I just never wanted to see it) and although it took me 4 years to convince myself I had to leave, I finally did and during that time I learned that I couldn't be in love with someone who didn't love me back.
