  • Going through the same thing here. I am thinking of spaghetti, alfredo tortollini, ya know noodles and sauce kind of thing.
For years my kids qualified for free lunch at school until this year and now we have to pay so we are learning how to package leftovers for their lunches so it;s not always a pbj sandwich and chips.

  • I wish my husband was here to answer this he was a logger and comes from a logging family...however he is a carpenter now and still eats out in the open so here is what I do ...
The thermos he can get leftovers or canned stew
also he likes pasta and and any kind with some leftover chedderbrats
    whole boiled potatoes
    whole peeled boiled eggs
That is all i can think of for now...you can pm me tomorrow and I can tell you what my husband liked when he was a logger

  • Have you ever tried taco soup? It's hearty and a little different from regular soup. It's also very easy to make in large batches in the crock pot, and it freezes well. Msg me privately for my recipe but you can search online and find many variations. It's got ground beef, onion, taco seasoning, dry ranch dressing mix, and a bunch of canned beans and corn. It's great with cheese and chips, and just today we discovered it is even better with cornbread :)
