  • It is completely natural, some babies skip crawling all together, while some have other forms of crawling. My 3rd dd did the army crawl and then went straight to walking.

  • I wouldnt be so worried about it....she may just learn that one a little late.....some babies walk before they crawl. just make sure that she learns to crawl at somepoint, even if its later....something about crawling is vital to balance when your older.

  • To add, 7 months is way too early to worry about it. Babies reach milestones at all different ages. She is fine and will get to crawling or walking on her own time:)

  • Some babies never crawl, some love to crawl. It probably doesn't make any difference. Some developmentalists used to think that if a baby didn't crawl it would affect eye and brain development and have a negative effect on reading and learning. There was therapy for kids that didn't crawl. I don't think they do this any more. Two of my sons didn't crawl and my grandson didn't crawl.

  • Crawling is not a developmental milestone. Some babies skip crawling. If she is doing other things, don't worry about it.

  • I agree 7 months is still on the early side for crawling, and if she's pulling herself up, wow, she's actually pretty advanced!

  • mine didn't crawl until after 9 months. so no worries. trust me enjoy the no crawling because after they are mobile they are none stop and you need eyes everywhere.
