Do you make your own Christmas (or other holiday) cards?

I love making them, but money is tight this year. I need ideas!

  • I let my son make them, may not be the prettiest but have a WHOLE LOT more meaning. Stickers, markers, and construction paper and we are all good .

Then for my son and nephew (who lives pretty far away) I make cards from Santa. I did them on my computer (my computer is broken tho :( using hubbys) and then still did alittle decorating. I put my sons under the tree. I would love to see my nephew's face when he gets a card in the mail from Santa, I even put it is from the north pole.

  • This year once we take our Christmas pictures I was going to do photo cards thru Walart or Shutterfly. They have some pretty cute design that I like so this year I was going to try it out.

  • I do! (my daughter was born in Feb of 2010 so we haven't done many holidays with her yet)

Christmas: red contrusion paper, write a little not in it, glue you family picutre and send it to your friends and family

Valitines: Cut out pink constution paper and make it into a heart, same thing with a note (i put the little poem in it) then picture

    Thanksgiving: same thing

I can't wait to do this with my little one!

    Hope I helped

  • The last few yrs I've been doing photo cards. I buy the photo cards when they are marked down.I take pics w/ my camera, go to Walgreens and print them. This yr. we are having pics taken at Wal-Mart or Sears since we are expecting this month.
Making them yourself w/ construction paper, glitter, holiday stickers, construction crayons (they work better than regular crayons) cut out shapes would be cheaper.
