Working for a Man or a Woman Boss, Which was/is Easier?

In all my years of working I found I usually had more problems with women supervisors. They just seemed to be bossier, and moodier, I'd tell my S/O at least men don't PMS on the job. I've had a few men I didn't care for and nip- picked at me, but generally, it's been the women I found to be harder to work with. Sorry, I don't mean to offend any women out there who are supervisors or bosses, I also realize there are many as good as men, or better, I just found men easier in my Banking Career.

  • I preferred male bosses, all of the female bosses I've had were nit pickers and moody. Never had a problem with the male bosses.

  • I prefer a male boss, but one time I worked where I had a lot of respect for the woman. Other than that, always the man.

  • it all depends on the personality. i was going to say men but i've had some really unorganized male bosses which drives me nuts. i've also had some bitchy female bosses and some good ones. i feel like age is a big contributor too. if they are younger than i am, its just not going to work out, i guarentee it. i'm 28 and if you are younger than me DONT KNOW BETTER THAN ME! but i'm stuck up like that :)

  • Our organization has only women as top executives & management and all but one supervisors are women as well. I think most of us are really good at what we do.

  • Over all the male bosses I have had have beeb MUCH better..until recently...i like my boss over all...but his sense of humor could definitely be considered sexual harassment! It makes alot of the office uncomfortable..and its sad because most of the office is either family, or church friends of his.......... :( not a good idea!

  • I have had good/great bosses of each gender and bad to very bad bosses of each gender. I hate when people generalize because of their bad experience with a few bosses.

  • The females make worse bosses because they are more likely to get on their bitchy high horse, are more critical and demanding
