Is Arielle too popular?

Yes, you may think of the little mermaid but it's not the same, just similar.

It means "Lion of god" and meanings are important to me.

We have an Elijah, Aniyah and Kadence in Heaven.

  • It does make me think of the Little Mermaid... however, it's a beautiful name and it's not a reason not to use it. (it's not like people avoid names like Belle or Jasmine)
I don't think it's common at all and I think it fits in well with your other childrens names.

  • You should name your child whatever you like. Yes, I immediately think of the Little Mermaid, but you know that already. If you love the name, use it.

  • I love the name Arielle and also Ariella. We didn't use it because it is the name of a close family friend (we don't name after the living.)
