Dental appointments...

So today I tried to explain that my daughter could not miss any school, so they gave me a 1:30 appointment like I had to accept that, so they finally compromised a little and gave me a 2:45 appointment.
So is it worth going home early to have a kid miss any amount of school?
They were like... "We can give her a note for school."
Maybe that is not the point!

Well if you completed even the fifthe grade you would know that one missed lesson can put you behind.

  • call the school to see what the policy is, my sons school last year allowed me to pick him up after a certain time in the day and still be counted for a full day.

  • Sorry didnt realize you meant for the lesson, just ask the teacher to send home any work that she may miss due to the appointment, they are usually pretty good about that. I don't know what grade you are talking about but a couple of hours of missed work probably isnt going to make much of a difference if she goes to school everyday.

  • Well my daughter missed school already for her grandfather's viewing and it was three days we left to go out of state. So she just caught up on her work.
But I did not know she may get credit for a full day. I will call and ask.
    Thanks for the info.
