  • If you go to the Cuisinart website and look up your model coffee maker - the manual is probably online. Or just type the model number into google and see if it pops up with a link to the manual in pdf form.

  • Put a small bottle of white vinegar in just as you would put the water in. Put a filter in. Turn coffee pot on but stop it when 1/2 of the vinegar has dripped through. Let the pot sit for an hour or so. Turn it back on and let the rest of the vinegar drip through. Follow with a pot of cold water.

  • my mom and grandma always cleans theirs with water in vinegar run through once after that you need to run just water through 2 or 3 times to get all the vinegar out

  • also, don't ever clean the cafe with dish soap or detergent. It leaves a residue that mucks with the coffee. Put ice cubes, salt, and a little water in it, swirl it around, let it sit, swirl it around, let it sit, swirl it around, rinse, THAN use it with the vinegar you run through the machine.

  • Either CLR or the white vinegar tip! The suggestion with salt & ice is what we used in restaurants! Best of luck!!!

  • I usually fill my coffee maker up to the 4 cup line with white vinegar, run the clean cycle through on it, then do two normal cycles with just water. Works like a charm every time.

  • Fill the tank with clear vinegar and let it run. You can also wash the pot with vinegar.
