i looked up my soon to be ex husbands records and he has a criminal one from last june. the last preliminary hearing date was january and it says WAV next to it. what does this mean? i was in court with him a few times after and talked to his lawyer and they told him to plead open so he already plead guilty to 2 felonies and the da didnt want to drop at least 4 months jail time. im not with him now so idk whats going on but what does the WAV mean? his friend has the same thing and his says HDCT which means held for court but idk what that means either. i know he plead guilty but hasnt been sentenced yet.

  • It means Waived for Court, and depending on where it stated it, it could refer to waiving the right to a prelim, waiving the right to an attorney, waiving of fees until disposition, etc.
