Question for moms of girls about puberty adult content

So I was shocked today to discover my dd had some pubic hair, she's 7. I know this is natural and there is only a little, but I just wasn't expecting this now. I can't remember when I started to get pubic hair, but I started my period early, so I'm thinking she will too. She knows some stuff about periods already cause she is always around me. Moms when did your dds start their periods? Anyone as young as 9?

  • I started mine at 11 and my sister was about 9-10 and yes her having hair is completely normal.

  • I was 12 but I know in school we started "sex ed" (basically we split the boys and girls and discussed what to expect with puberty) in 4th grade so ages 9-10.
