what can a 11, going to be 12 year old be involved in? like what kind of activities?

so in my town, there isnt much. i cant really drive him to town when i live in the country cause i dont drive. he's constantly worried about when his aunt will be home and such cause he has nothing going on in his life.

i could create activities or attend them. the only small town is only 5 miles away with bars and a church.

Can he join something and ride with a friend after school and then the parent drop him off at home if you paid a little gas to them?

  • Is there a youth group through the church? What about afterschool activities or sports? If nothing else, talk to him about setting up a haunted house for halloween and inviting the townsfolk to come and check it out. He may have a lot of fun helping set it up. GL!

  • How about a church group? Afterschool clubs? Scouts? Or, since you are in the country, what about 4-H?

  • I have 2 nephews in that age range - one actually just turned 13, the other is about to turn 11 - they are both involved in (or have been and are taking a break for other activitieds) tae kwon do, Awana (church), soccer, football, they love video games (systems & hand held), riding bike, they have skateboards that get a lot of use...they're constantly on the move, they have something almost daily.
