if you had a million dollars what would you do with it?

  • Trade in our car and pay outright, buy a modest house that meets our needs without being more than is reasonable, update any furnishings that need to be replaced (like our couch) or that we need to get (like a headboard), maybe some things we'd just like, like a new tv or something, lol. Put the rest into savings because I'm sure we'll need it down the road. We wouldn't really change our lifestyle or anything, though. We'd continue to live pretty much the same as we do now. Maybe we'd spend a little more on groceries, lol, but we wouldn't be frivolous with it or anything. :)

  • LOL... a million really isnt that much now a days.

    I suppose I would be practical pay down the house, buy a car, and put money in the college funds....... oops.... all gone.

  • Sell my husband's truck. Buy me a new Suv. Buy him a new truck. Put a portion towards the boy's college. Save the rest.

  • Pay off my house, give some to mine and DH's parents, buy new cars, fix up our house, and put the rest away into savings and/or for our future children's future

  • Pay off all our debt including the house. The rest would go into savings.

  • Hire a financial advisory/lawyer so I don't screw it up. :)
    1.Pay Off Debt!
    2. New House
    3. Bigger Car
    4. Save for College (kids and my own)
    5. Invest
    6. Be less afraid to start a new career.

  • Go to Hawaii for a vacation. Buy good cars and get repairs done on the house. Put money in all of the grandchildrens' college funds.

  • Like someone else said it is not much these days, but if I had an extra million, I would share it with my family. I have no debts to pay off, or anything I don't already have...or want...
