Democrats attack ad sets new low for midterm mud. adult content

The ad makes the totally unsubstantiated charge that the Chamber of Commerce is taking money from foreign interests and using it to "steal our democracy". And worse President Obama is out on the campaign trail, according to the New York Times, creating an echo chamber by making the same reckless claimes. When CBS newsman Bob Schieffer Sunday ask David Axelrod if there is any proof for the claim, the senior Obama aid says they don't need proof-it's up to the Chamberof Commerce to prove it isn't true.
Even more dirty tricks?

  • Yes, it may be more dirty tricks. Or just plain ole hypocrisy. Obama boosters used prepaid credit cards to make multiple donations that could not ever be traced to the purchaser and ACORN was laden with International donations, so that their legitimate monies could be used to support Obama. And as far as the SEIU is concerned with backing Obama, what the hell does anyone think the I in SEIU stands for? International....duh.....the International revenues they received went to the Obama campaign and dumb Americans never thought anything about it.

  • Annual membership dues range from $7,500 to $15,000 or more, and the money is given directly into the Chamber’s 501(c)(6) bank account. Like the USBBC, the USIBC generates well over $200,000 a year in dues for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from foreign businesses.

  • This isn't typical mudslinging imo. I suppose this is payback for the Chamber pitching a fit for not being invited to the meetings about small business. Before requiring them to "open up their books" I would like to see a little bit of PROOF...or is it no longer innocent until proven guilty??

  • The Foreign companies and government that fund the GOP candidates are ….Aluminum Bahrain, Gulf Air, Midal Cables, the Nass Group, Bahrain Maritime & Mercantile International, the Bahrain Petroleum Company (state-owned), Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, and First Leasing Bank. With each of these foreign board members to the USBBC contributing at least $10,000 annually, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce raises well over $100,000 a year in money from foreign businesses through its operation in Bahrain. Also many Indian corporations and government run companies like State Bank of India (state-run) and ICICI Bank, are members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce through the USIBC.

  • Big business would love to see the republicans back in power, because the republicans look out for them. not the people.

This again?! How many time do you need to be asked WHO is it that HIRES people in this country, and HOW do they pay the salaries of their employees?!

And WHO is it again that generates our GDP numbers?!

We can't ALL work for the government. Where would the money come from to pay your government salaries, if taxable income from the private sector were abolished?!

  • Associated Press:The AP analyzed 1.27 million campaign contributions to Obama and McCain to identify 6,948 contributions from people who appeared to live outside the United States and who were not obviously in the U.S. military. The AP contacted 123 donors in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa, Spain and Switzerland and interviewed them about their citizenship and donations.

Obama has far more overseas donors than McCain, and that was reflected in the number of interviews: the AP was able to reach 116 Obama supporters, six McCain backers and one donor who gave to both.

  • I just think it proves how out of touch Democrats are with their constituents, and how "genuinely surprised" they're going to be on November 3rd! LOL :o)

I think this time around attack ads are going to backfire more than ever!!
