  • Sugar cookies also... they always turn out tasting really good but I can not get them rolled out for the cutters no matter how much I try.

  • For me, it's baking a plain (white, chocolate, etc) cake from scratch - I can doctor up a mix like none other, I can kind of bake fancier flavored scratch cakes, but not a plain, basic one. Ugh.

  • apple pie. I have tried and tried. I finally went to my mom, the queen of making apple pie and she started explaining all the different types of apples and moisture in the air and if its too dry out,,,I gave up. I watched her for years and it looked so dang easy.
