  • It varies. They all learn differently. Usually between 6-9 months. My daughter was 7 months when she started and my son was 9 months,

  • The range of normal is 5 to 18 months. The average age is 9 months. Some never crawl at all. All perfectly normal :)

  • I think my girls were all about 7 months when they started crawling.  My older son, though, was doing the army crawl at 5 months including climbing up the stairs.  He really kept me on my toes.  By the time he was 6 months old he was crawling on his hands and knees and climbing onto the couch, pulling up and beginning to cruise.  he was walking at 10 months.

  • I've been told between 5-10 months. If your baby is bigger or chunkier like my baby, it probably won't be until later. Also, some babies crawl backwards before they crawl forward and I've heard that some skip crawling forward. I've also heard that crawling backwards counts as crawling, not entirely sure though.
