  • blood tests can actually show within days of being pregnant. blood level of 0 means not pregnant, even a 1 means pregnant and these numbers basically double each day.

  • yes, sooner than the home tests. yes more accurate because your blood can't be diluted like urine. many women get false negatives from HPT.

  • not really anonymous#3...i had a level of 2 before ovulation on day 3 of my cycle when i went for a preconception visit....most women can have up to a level of 5 without being pregnant

  • I read somewhere online that a blood test can read that you are pregnant 10 days after conception, and only 1to 2 days before a pee test but it is accurate if not taken too early.

  • My dr told me that tests at the drs office are not as sensitive as the home tests so home tests are better. Blood tests sometimes dont show up though

  • I was told by my doctor that a blood test will be accurate anytime after implantation has occured. And this is much sooner and more accurate than a HPT. However implantation usually occurs between 6-10 days after ovulation and 3 or so days after conception.
