What do you give your kids when you notice the onset of a cold?

  • I pull dairy from the meals for awhile and up the handwashing. I also increase naps/rest/sleep. I don't give anything med wise until unless they really truly get sick. We do honey for coughs and mucinex alot

  • nothing....if there gonna get it an over the counter med is gonna stop it so I give it to them when they need it.

  • Vitamin C gummy chews.
    Orange juice
    Lots of fluids
    Wash everything

  • Lots of TLC and maybe some decaf green tea w/honey. They like that when sick. I don't give any meds unless I HAVE to. And I haven't met a cold that HAD to be medicated.

  • Orange juice. :) I don't really do anything special when I notice my son is getting a cold. His immune system can fight it off. I'll give him baths more often (sometimes a couple times a day) as the steam helps clear his nose temporarily if he's congested.
