  • A very bland diet such as the BRAT diet.

Google the BRAT diet and it should pull up some good ideas.

  • The Bratt Diet does wonders. It's Banana, Rice, Applesauce, Tea and Toast. Bananas help harden stool so that might help some with his loose stools!! Pedialite will help with dehydration too!!

    Good Luck!!!

  • I agree with the BRAT diet, and also make sure to keep him hydrated. My son's doctor recommends Pedialyte if they're throwing up or have diarrhea. Hope he feels better soon!

  • Take him to the doctor if not the ER. Don't mess around with a child this small and the flu. They could dehydrate fast.

  • If he's puking, you don't want to feed him anything to slow the diarrhea - you need to keep the child hydrated. If they child can't keep any liquid down, you need to seek medical attention. Don't let the child drink as much of whatever either - after a vomit, wait 30 minutes and give 1 small sip. If that stays down, 1 small sip every 5-10 minutes. If the child vomits again, start over with waiting 30 minutes. If even that first sip can't stay down multiple times, head for the hospital. A child that young can dehydrate way too fast.

  • you don't want to stop the vomit or diarhea. that is how the body eliminates something that is not supposed to be there.
sorry mama! it is so hard when our babies are ill! keep him hydrated and comfortable.
personally, i would not do the er...there are sooo many germs there, and your baby is already weak and fighting something.
