when you have to save up money really quick for a vacation (like in 6 weeks) .....

What tips and tricks to you have?

  • Lock down, only spend what you HAVE to. No eating out. No stopping for drinks, bring them from home. No buying anything you don't NEED. Clean out the cabinets and freezer and don't buy food until what you have is gone. It's a great way to refresh food too.

  • Ebay stuff, trying babysitting a few nights, or Pet sitting, dog walking, HOUSE CLEANING!!!! anything that pays immediate cash

  • if a yard sale isn't possible, try selling some items on craigslist or ebay. try getting a job babysitting or house cleaning. Or maybe your husband could do "handyman" type services. Don't buy any "extras" and cancel services, such as Netflix, digital cable, etc. that are not needed. Shop with coupons, and add up every bit of loose change you have lying around! How much are you hoping to save in 6 weeks?

  • sell clothes to a second hand store, sell books at book store that pays cash for books, make dinner for rich friends that a busy and would love a home cooked meal, cleaning houses pays lots of money

  • We are going to Hawaii. We have tickets bought and are looking at hotels and car rentals right now. Just hoping to save up as much as possible for all the fun stuff! thanks for the ideas ladies!
