how long after you have a c-section do you not fill any pain?

i just had my second c-section and i dont remember how long it was until the pain went away and i was up and running.

  • Um, no more then 3 weeks. I was getting up and down with no problems and everything by then.

  • Do you mean all together or no pain once your meds have evened you out? My morphine tht they put in the spinal didn't work after for pain so I was in sever pain for awhile but now I'm on pain meds still at hospital and I'm doing ok I am walking laps and going places wo any help but as for all together pain id say about 2 weeks as well

  • I was up and around pretty well after about 2 weeks. Make sure you take it easy for the first weeks so nothing opens up, and you'll have a smoother recovery.

  • As far as I can recall, just a couple of weeks - my kids are 14 and 18 now, so it's kind of a dim memory! The second one was easier , because I knew what to expect, plus I had more help. Prenatal exercise will help, and ease back into it after the C-section. They also told me not to lift anything heavier than the baby - the older one was 9 lbs 10.5 oz, and the younger one was 8 lbs 15 oz - so that gave me a bit of a giggle.

  • For about 1 week, I walked around hunched over in a lot of pain. After about 2-3 weeks, I was way better. I'm a baby though and pray I have no more c sections. Good Luck!
