Does anyone find any humor in the Brooke Shields' VW commercials?

I find her commercials revolting. They are thoroughly demeaning to women. What were they thinking?

  • I think they are cute...I don't take anything like that too seriously. I'm not that "high-strung".

I don't understand how they could possibly be demeaning to women....would you care to elaborate a bit??

  • They make me laugh. Guess I just never really paid attention to what they could mean. Just thought they were funny.

  • i think they're funny, getting pregnant so you can get a safe, fun car....actually helped me get a new vehicle from my fiancee :) i don't see how they can be 'demeaning'...taking it a little to far with that....

  • I detest them. I think they are demeaning in the sense that they think a woman would go so far as to get pregnant just so they could have "german engineering". It was not a well thought out campaign.

  • I find it kind of ironic that they picked Brooke Shields to do it, since she is basically the face of post partum depression. I always thought that was weird... I am certainly not offended though. Stupid commercial nontheless.

  • I also detest them! I turn the TV on mute every time they come on.
