Is it normal to feel restless during the last few weeks of pregnancy?

Im 37 weeks and 3 days and I cant sleep I always want to be doing something but when I do eventually fall asleep I sleep until like 4 in the afternoon. Is this normal?

  • Restless is an understatment!! I couldn't sleep at all.

  • It is totally normal! I was that way from 7 months up until the day I had my son. Just try to relax... I took baths and went for walks, it helped a lot. When I wasn't relaxing or sleeping I was getting the nursery organized... and re organized. lol.

  • Yep! Normal! I had trouble getting comfortable in those last couple of weeks so bed was the only place I hung out, but I didn't sleep much. Sitting hurt, standing hurt, everything just hurt.

  • yep, it completely is normal. .i havent slept at all throughout my ENTIRE pregnancy. if i do sleep i wake up every 3 hrs..im always tired, so those naps really do hit the spot :-)

  • Yes. Your baby is laying on just about every nerve it can. Ontop of that you're probably a little anxious for deliver. Causing you to be restless.
