Thanksgiving: We get up early that morning and start cooking the big meal (turkey, ham, cornbread dressing, gravy, rolls, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, corn, brussels sprouts, and different desserts normally pecan pie, brownies, and some kind of fruity dessert). Then we watch football, and we usually have friends over (military, so we are away from family). After the big meal, we always look at the black friday ads to plan our attack :) The week after THanksgiving we normally go cut down our own Christmas tree.
Christmas eve: We have our big dinner (like Thanksgiving basically) then we go to the candlelight service at Church, go look at lights, read the kids a Christmas story, then put out milk and oreo for Santa. once the kids are in bed, ALL the gifts go under the tree and we leave the lights on the tree overnight, and then the kids wake up around 6 or 7 on Christmas morning and we open all the presents and play!
