  • I heard eating some pure sugar helps it....but I dont think theres really anyway to get rid of them.

  • Every time we had hiccups as kids we would go to my mom and tell her. She would say "Really? Let me hear one." Don't you know, we never could let her hear one! Its like they got stage fright or something! :)

  • I usually drink water and hold my breath. I read an article the other day that was mentioning how the Japanese get rid of them--they stick a finger in their throat (almost like they were going to make themselves vomit) and it disrupts the diaphragm spasm (which is what hiccups are) and makes them stop. I'm going to try it next time I get them :)
