Republicans the party with no answers, really?

The Democrats and the lame street media have been all over Republicans for not having ideas. Can you tell me what the Democrats plan for America in the next 2 yrs? Just more of the same tax and spend? Maybe they aren't saying because they know whatever it is it isn't good and America doesn't want it?

  • We need "regular" people to fix this. If the government put the capital gains rate at -0- for 18 months, you would see a incredible influx of money into the economy. If the government would get out of private industries face and keep all the tax cuts, the corporations that are sitting on trillions of dollars would loosen the purse strings, go back to hiring and help the economy get back on track. By the way, it wasn't the banks that cause the real estate collapse. The federal government told the banks that they HAD to give borrower with bad credit a "second chance". When this first started, it was the people who should have never gotten a home loan that couldn't make their payments and then caused a domino effect. I was in the real estate industry for 24 years before I got laid off in June. I watch buyers sign loan docs that I knew they would not be able to pay for. As an escrow officer, I was not allowed to say word

  • Oh, they have PLENTY of ideas that will foster economic growth and prosperity...but they go against everything liberals want! Libs want us to be like Greece or France, where everyone is the same, and there is no desire to get ahead and raise your station in life.

  • It's spend and tax. The taxes come after the spending, the tax issues are always brought up afterwards to justify the spending. anyway....education. that's primarily what obama will stumping on soon. Two years of listening to him about Education. what else is there? Oh that and biden's 3 letter word...JOBS JOBS JOBS

  • I think it's pretty fair to say that both parties are lacking in the planning department. Neither of them can see beyond the next election.

  • I really don't think either party has a handle on what to do. They both think they have the answers but so often the things they think will work, in reality do not or else it works but at a much slower pace than imagined and people want it fixed "yesterday" which just isn't possible. The scary thing about the Republican party is their desire to DEregulate. They want to repeal the regulations that have been placed on Wall Street and the Banks. Well they managed to repeat Glass-Stegal (think that's the right one) some years ago and we are now seeing the results. Without regulation, Wall Street and the Banks do whatever will fatten their own pockets regardless of the effect on the general public. No body really likes regulation but unfortunatly, people being people, it's needed, at least in areas of finance.

  • Why in the world do people think that keeping/giving huge tax cuts to huge corporations will cause them to create jobs and hire people? They HAVE HAD huge tax breaks for simply years...the Bush years gave them lots of tax cuts/breaks....and yes, they did create jobs and hire people...they just DIDN'T DO IT HERE. We've seen more and more jobs go overseas since Clinton was Pres. and continueing those tax cuts isn't going to change it. The only way to stop that is for the Feds to heavily penalize companies that do move jobs overseas and put some real restraints on trade agreements so that it's less advantageous and less lucrative for companies to move jobs to other countries.
