1 Bump

My dd is 5 and having sleep issues. Do you think this is a problem?

She goes to sleep around 7 to 7:30 and usually wakes around 1:00 am...its hard to get her back to sleep. Then she wakes again around 5:20 or so.

It doesnt matter if you put her in the bed at 10:00 pm she will STILL wake at 5:20.

Even if she has had a VERY busy day and should be very tired....still 5:20 am give or take 10 minutes.

Is this a problem....what would you do?

  • Just sounds like that's the time her body decides it's morning. Sounds perfectly normal to me. Most kids your daughter's age wakes up around 6:00. As much as the parents don't like it, it's normal.

  • I agree, sounds normal for a child her age. In a few years that may change and you'll be wondering why she's sleeping all the time, lol..

  • Sounds like it's a good time to teach her how to play quietly in her room or lay snuggled in bed until it's time to wake up.
