At what age should I stop taking baths with my 2 year old and newborn in the same tub?

I have a terrible back so I sometimes bathe my two year old son and newborn daughter while I am in the tub too. What age should I stop doing this? Are there a lot of others who do this as well to help our backs and save time on two different baths?

  • I've never gotten in the tub with my son, but i stopped letting him be in the room when i was anything but fully dressed when he started recognizing the difference in body parts. The first time he said "mommy wheres your wee-wee" that was it.

  • I dont know the right age. I have all girls and my 6 and 3 year old still bathe together. With different sexes its hard, because they do notice things. I would say 2 is still pretty young for there to be any problems.
