  • A humidifier in the childs room will probably help. It helps my children when they are sick.

  • Saline dops and a humidifier. Lots of tlc. Cold meds aren't really safe.

  • At 16 months she shouldn't be taking any medication. When my son has a cold, I give him a bath right before bed time and I put children's vicks on his feet and chest. He also has a cool mist humidifier in his room.

  • My 16 month old just had a nasty cold a couple weeks ago. We had a vaporizer in her room, saline drops (after use we suctioned those boogers out), decaf green tea, orange juice (vitamin C!), I would go sit in the bathroom with her, turn the water on hot, and we'd chill on the toilet or edge of the tub and breath in that steam. Have her sleep elevated (it's hard, i know especially when they like to move around so much). If it doesn't get better within a few days go see a doctor because it could turn into something worse like bronchitis or pneumonia.
