What works best to get your 2yr old to take a nap?

I have noticed that here lately my two year old is getting more resistant to taking a nap. Can you please let me know what has been working with you?

  • I set a timer for my son, and tell him he just needs to lay his head down, and can get up when it goes off.... I set it for 45 mins, but he is totally asleep in 5 mins.

  • It's actually normal for a 2 year old to not take a nap. My Pediatrician said not to force him, but still give him quiet time. Basically if he doesn't want one you can't force him.

  • Lately my little guy has been fighting his nap, but I know he needs to rest. So, I've been letting him either watch some tv or a movie. Usually after laying there for a little while, he'll fall right to sleep.
