1 Bump

I haven't a clue as to how to title this.

Okay, first off I have talked with my Dr. and I have an MRI scheduled for this week and that will be reviewed by a neurologist.

However, I have recently been having huge issues with my ability to concentrate and focus and my moods. I feel like I have all the classic symptoms of a child with a Sensory Disorder but this is recent. Say in the last five years or so. Before that I was fine. I can't think "flexibly" anymore. If I have one thought process it has to be completely thought through before I switch tracks even if I am given information that changes what I am thinking. If I am interupted while I am concentrating, I get angry or irritable and often feel confused. Sometimes I have problems expressing myself (finding the right word when I need it) which I didn't before. There are also times when my mind stops. People will talk to me or something and I can't process it other than to know I should be responding.

  • When I say concentrate, I mean just about anytime I am "thinking" . If I make a phone call unless its like my mom or someone I know I am fine but if its calling about an appointment everything has to be silent. I can no longer have any tolerance for noise.

  • My first thought would be MS, but I have had a client who was having major personality cognitive issues due to being severely anemic. I hope you get to the bottom of his soon. Good luck!

  • I don't have any advice to offer but do keep us posted. The symptoms you describe fit my mother to a "T" and she isn't pursuing help/diagnosis but it impacts her life so much. Hope everything turns out OK.

  • I dont really know. What you describe sounds like how my brain gets when I've been too stressed or had too much going on, or too much to get done for an extended period of time. It almost feels like my brain is shutting down. After a good rest and minimum stimuli, I am back to norma.
