Does morning sickness just stop abruptly?

I've never had morning sickness with my previous pregnancies. I've been sick with this pregnancy for 3 1/2 weeks- then it just stopped suddenly at 9 1/2 weeks. I seriously woke up one morning, no more morning sickeness! Is that normal?

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question...but I'm a bit concerned.

  • Yeah, mine went on for quite awhile, then one day it just wasn't there anymore...I don't know why, but that's just what happens sometimes.

  • For me it did. It stopped suddenly. I threw up every day (multiple times) until my 22nd or 23rd week, and then one morning I woke up and felt fine. My OB told me this would probably happen. Don't be worried! Just be grateful! :) Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy. :)

  • With my son I just stopped being sick like that. With this pregnancy, I was sick on and off for 5 months. It finally just started getting less and less, and eventually I FINALLY stopped getting sick.
