Question about pregnacy.

My SIL sent me this text message today and I'm not sure I understand. Please help if you can.

"They (the doctors) didn't get a good picture of the head and they said there was some kind of cysts bu they (the doctors) said that they usually go away during pregnancy and the cord is only 2 stems and its supposed to be 3.

Do you know what she means about the cord? Has anyone else had this problem?

  • a 2 vessel cord.
It is rare and can cause complications for the baby but not always.

    Good Luck to your friend.

  • There are normally two arteries and one vein. Hers only has one of each. Most babies do fine, but it can lead to less growth and other complications.
