What would you use?

Which is better to use in a room if a child is afraid of the dark. A night lite or a lamp lite?

  • depends on where your sockets are. Mine are out of reach from children so a night light probably wouldn't work well for us. But a night lamp would.

You could try glow sticks too. Pretend they are magic wands to keep monsters away.

  • Definately a night light. I think a lamp would give off to much light.

To the pp about the monster spray, I have heard experts in child psychology say not to use it, as it reinforces that there are monsters.

  • We have used night lights and lamps and I think either one will do the job. Just make sure it's not too bright to distract the child from being able to go to sleep.

  • if you go with a night lamp be sure to find a bulb that won't be too bright. like a tinted one
