  • With our 3 yr and 5 yr old grand daughters we do baths at night.

As part of the girls bedtime routine it helps wear them out and relax them at the same time. Brushing teeth is next. Then sticker book time (what we use in place of a chore chart and/or cash allowance because of their age), then hugs and kisses all around, and bed :)

They wake up clean (usually) and ready for breakfast, dressing, and school (for the older one)

    The benefits:
    Cleaner sheets that last longer
    Easier morning routine
cues the kids bodies for sleep, making bedtime easier
not rushed to get the girls out of the tub and hurried to another activity. Its ok if they are in bed a few minutes late :)
I do laundry in the same bathroom while they play in the tub. I can watch them (since they are little) and get a chore done before I scrub them down
Bath time is more enjoyable to the girls this way :)

  • At night. Usually one of the last things before bed. Dinner, bath, pjs, bottle, and bed. Usually only gets one in the morning if she crashed early like last night or if we were out late or if we have someplace important to go to.

  • At night; my little one conks out immediately after she's dried and clothed, so it works great for bedtime. :) Sometimes I'll do it right in the middle of the day if I want them to nap afterwards. :)
