Weird SHOCK in my belly.. anyone else?

Every time I tighten my muscles on accident I get this WEIRD shock in my belly, usually down low., For example.. doing things like sitting up from a laying position, picking up my son, reaching for something up high, even laughing sometimes.. Any small thing you do on a daily basis without trying to that tightens those muscles- this feeling happens. It doesn't necessarily hurt, but it's like I said.. a SHOCK. Like someone has taken a taser gun to my belly lol. Sometimes makes me jump. I asked my doctor about it and he says it sounds perfectly normal and probably has something to do with stretching ligaments or something, but I have just never felt anything like it before with my 2 previous pregnancies.. Has anyone else felt this??

  • Yep, sounds like round ligament pain. I get it alot with my second now but didn't get it at all with my first. It gets really bad when I sneeze.

  • I have that at times and I am not pregnant. It's just from using the muscle and it wasn't stretched yet. And yours should be worse because of expanding ligament. Not to worry.

  • Sounds like the round ligaments. I use to describe it as someone suddenly shoving a broomstick into my gut! Its actually normal. Let your doc know its happening, but IMHO you are ok :)
