  • hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :

    * 3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
    * 4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
    * 5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
    * 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
    * 7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
    * 9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
    * 13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
    * 17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
    * 25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
    * Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
    * Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml

    so either its twins or you are around 6-8wks along.

  • With my twins my hCG was 467 at exactly 4 weeks and 8,550 at 4 weeks, 5 days. Those levels were considered to be on the high side even for twins. I was using fertility drugs, and my doctor was concerned that there might actually be MORE than TWO babies, which meant I also had to worry about that possibility until she could see anything on an ultrasound (5 weeks, 2 days). High hCG levels can indicate multiples, it can mean your dates are off and you are further along than you think, it can be a marker for some genetic disorders (this is ONLY one marker, and does not mean there is anything wrong...just that you might consider some additional testing), or it CAN mean absolutely nothing. • Mine were 900 at 4 weeks and my dr said he's curious if there are twins or more. I have to wait for the ultrasound in 2 weeks to find out. But, I know high levels can mean other things.
