Do you know the difference between a need and a want?

Many Americans have no clue what is an actual need and what is a want. Do you know the difference. Make a list what are your needs and what are your wants. I am really curious what everyone will come up with.

  • I need food, power, some clothing (not tons!), and water. A personal need of mine is family and love, I don't think I'd survive emotionally without that, I know I would physically but I don't think that'd be worth it.

I want things like internet, TV, nice night out with hubby, toys for kids.

  • Needs: Food. Water. Shelter. Love. Family.

Wants: Money. Material crap. A nice house. A nice car. A perfect body.

I agree that the majority of people don't understand the difference between a need and a want : /

  • I need food, water, shelter/clothes - I need a job to provide those other needs for myself and my family.
    Everything else is a want.

  • A need/ food, food, water, love from family, not electricity b/c I have and can live without, soap, diapers
wants: internet, cable, nice clothes, lift kit on my SO truck(it's not happening)
Every pay day I make a list of needs and wants.
Needs come first and wants come if there is money left over

  • I need toilet paper, corrective vision of some sort (blind otherwise), water, shelter, clothes, job, education... I suppose everything else would be a want.. but then I guess glasses or contacts would be a want, bc I would want to be able to see. But yeah.. I'm not using leaves!!!
