for anyone who was induced via breaking waters - how long after they broke your waters was your baby born?

(Not for those who had pitocin or any other form of induction - just breaking waters)

  • they don't usually break your waters to induce you. usually you are already in labor when they break your waters to help things move along quicker. for me when my water was broken while already in labor, my son was born about 1 hour later.

  • They broke my waters to induce me twice, and I was not in labor. My cervix was dialated and I had been dialated for months. Doesn't mean I was in labor. I had a scheduled induction with no pitocin and he just went in an broke my water.
