Vaccum or Broom//or BOTH!

What do you guys use? on my carpet I must first sweep with the broom and then vaccum. If I have to choose I feel like sweeping gets the job done because I can see the lint and whatever my daughter drops lift from the carpet where as the vaccum alone I feel may leave some stuff that may be underneath.

What do you gals think or use?

  • I vacuum the hardwoods and vinyl floor so I don't have to use a broom - so no, I can't say I would ever use them on the carpeting...

  • I use a shop vac on my flooring because of the dog hair in the house (my redneck husband gave it to me after he was tired of unclogging my canister floor vacs all the time). A regular vacuum on the carpeting though I 'd love a dyson.

  • I use the broom on the hardwood and tile floors and I use the vacuum on carpet and rugs. I prefer the broom as well. I can't wait until I no longer have carpet in my house!
