Ever eaten a mini banana?

I saw some for the first time a couple of weeks ago at the grocery store. They were from Dole. Little tiny things! I just read on Chiquita's website that the skin is thinner and they taste a little sweeter (but have the same nutrients as regular sized bananas). Anyone ever had them?

  • I personally didn't like them. I like my bananas with a very small touch of green. Once they get brown spots and sweet, not my fav. The little fingers ones are already like that. Buy them once, just to try them for fun. You probably won't do it again, because they aren't worth the price.

  • Yes... not much different than a regular banana, except they are more expensive and you get less.

  • yes ,my store has carried them for quite a while. When my younger two went to pre-school several days a week I sent them in their lunches. The right size. And at home they could help themselves to fruit.I quit buying them as their appetites increased.

  • It depends on the variety. Some are much sweeter. I love lady bananas.

  • No, because they're about 6 times more expensive where I see them!

  • I probably wouldn't buy them if they were much more expensive than regular bananas. I love fresh produce but won't pay a lot for it

That's why I didn't want to buy them. Wasn't worth it IMO.

  • I like mine with a touch of green too. I hate seeing them with even the slightest speck of brown!
