  • My 6th grader has to practice her instrument 20 mins a day, pre-algebra homework (which takes between 20mins to 45mins) , and science homework everyday too. Of course, she needs to read daily too.

  • My 12 yr old is in 6th grade and they don't have homework, unless they don't finish their school work during class time. He's yet to bring any home.

My 16 yr old is a sophmore and maybe has 30 minutes but not often, usually its just studying for a quiz.

  • My daughter is in first grade and the school is great, but she's so far ahead of her grade that I make her do a 1/2 of homework from lesson books, just until she gets to the point where they can put her in the advanced classes - which isn't until the 3rd grade.

  • My kids usually dont have too much homework, if they do they get most of it done at school, right now its not an issure, however, if it ever does I will speak with the teacher, after all they are in school all day why do they have to come home and be in school all night.

  • My kindergartner has 1/2 page a night and his sight words to review. My 1st grader has spelling, reading and a math sheet just about every night. Takes us about 30 mins to get both of them done with it.

  • My kindergartener has 5-15 minutes 4 nights a week - 2 nights of reading, 2 nights of sight words/writing.

My 6th and 7th graders have about 1 - 1.5 hours a night plus long term projects - science fair, research projects, independent reading.
