Question about background check & wages being garnished

Does anyone know if the fact that my DH's wages are being garnished will show up on a background check? He's hoping he'll get a better paying job, but he's concerned that this will show on his record. We had no idea until today. This is something regarding our foreclosed home. Any tips???

  • I am not an expert but I think it would show on a credit report rather than a criminal background check.

  • If it is a foreclosed home then it had better be from a second mortgage. They cannot garnish your wages for a primary loan that has been foreclosed

  • I do background checks on my employees and we only receive information about previous criminal convictions and arrests... nothing about credit.

  • FEELINYUMMY is right....your finances arent on a background check....its strictly on criminal history!!! Your credit report is another story

  • If it was court ordered, yes. If not, then it will just appear on his credit report.
