Holland for a boy or girl or either?

My maiden name and I want to use it as a middle name. I think it is more boy but I think it can go both ways.

  • I was thinking girl, kind of like London or Paris are mostly used for girls, but it could be a boy's name too I guess. I think for a middle name you could easily use it for either.

  • I have only heard it for a girl and her nickname is Holly. There is an actress named Holland Taylor.

  • I know a guy named Holland. I do not think it could work for a girl though. If it is going to be a middle name then it is fine for either gender.
