  • wild, not used to people, not socialized. My mom adopted a ferrel cat, she still has her 12 years later. She still hides under the bed all day!

  • It's typically spelled feral if you were trying to look it up and couldn't find it but it basically means what the other said. wild cat.

  • Wild, not tame, usually cant pet them or catch them. They do not make good pets, if you want to actually pet your pet.

  • BTW I wasn't being snarky. I just saw a post where it wasn't spelled right and figured the OP saw it looked it up and couldn't find it and that's why they asked. I am the worse speller and typist ever so I have no room to be snarky! lol.

  • Yep, feral cats are wild. They can have started out as a tame cat and gotten wild. My dad has tons of feral barn cats. You can barely even get close enough to see these cats, much less catch or pet one - wild, wild, wild.

  • Feral cats are cats that were domesticated and than went back/learned how to live in the wild. A cat that has never been domesticated is just wild. Feral cats are frequently more dangerous than a wild cat. Some simply have no fear of humans, others have been abused and will actually attack.
