what does it mean when you don't have dreams at night?

I obviously don't sleep well but haven't had dreams in a year or so......or maybe I don't remember...what do you think?

  • No matter what youre always dreaming, you usually only remember your dreams if you wake up right after you had them.

  • You don't remember them, because not dreaming would be a severe sleep disorder that can lead to lethal exhaustion. In other words, you HAVE to dream in order to rest. If you have no symptoms of exhaustion then you are dreaming.

  • Sharon is correct... I notice that when I dont dream I am often tired... when I do I am much more refreshed.
You need to find out why you are not sleeping well.

  • Everybody dreams. Most people just do not remember. I think sometimes that's a good thing. I dream every night and I remember them. There not always good dreams. So I think you are lucky. Sweet dreams!

  • You probably just don't remember them. This happened to me when I developed severe sleep apnea. My sleep apnea has improved in recent years and I remember some of my dreams again.
