  • Check with your state (DMV) on when they can obtain a driving permit.

  • When your state allows them to get a driving PERMIT! Most states - between 15 and 16.

  • When they're allowed to, and are able to pass the test to, get their learner's permit!

  • When ever they get their permit... No way I would risk loosing my car just so they can feel like grownups faster.

  • depends on your LAWS.

here a child has to pass the test to get a permit before it is legal to have them behind the wheel. I think it would be horrific parenting to start them behind the wheel prior to them being legally allowed....knowingly allowing them to break a law.
