Adult Acne

I have more acne breakouts now than as I did as a teenager. I can't seem to find anything that helps to control this. Any suggestions?

  • This is a great acne system, it has 11 more ingredients than proactive and a sunscreen.  You don't have to sign up for a monthly system either.  You might also be having some hormonal changes which can be helped with nutrition and supplementation.   Let me know if you need some extra help.  I am also a Texas Certified Makeup Artist

  • You could also see a dermatologist (I think that's the right one). They may be able to give you something to help. A regular doctor might be able to give you medication for it as well.

  • When you find out let me know. I can't afford proactive or prescription meds and nothing else I do works. As soon as I had kids, BAM i got hit with acne.

  • I started using proactive at age 35 while pregnant with my 2 year old, and it worked great.. I did try other products after but went back to the 3 step program and love it!

  • If you can't get to a dermatologist, try Neutrogena's anti wrinkle anti blemish face wash and cream. I works really well.

  • Hello. I feel your pain.
My teenage son also had acne - proactiv made it worst (nothing against proactiv or any other products) from my experience only.
You can try Arbonne Clear Advantage (an acne system) the blemishes are now gone. These products are Amazing!!! Good Luck and all the best to you.
you can find the Arbonne Clear Advantage products at www.healthyliving08.myarbonne.com (45 day money back guarantee) nothing to lose.

  • I have seriously found the answer - the miracle! You have to read this book :"Don't go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me" by Paula Begoun. She researches and reviews skincare products and cosmetics based on their ingredients versus their claims. It has dramatically changed my life, and my skin. Basically, she explains how there are SO many products out there that are for problems like acne, or oily skin, etc, but the products have ingredients in them that are actually harmful and irritating to your skin. The main acne "treatment" ingredients are benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. These never really worked when I would buy Neutrogena, or Clinique, or even Proactiv, because they often had other ingredients in them that caused irritation and inflammation, like alcohol or menthol.I swear - it will change your life if you read this book and pay attention to what you put on your skin.
